If you’ve been reading my blog lately, you probably know that I’m getting a bit stressed with the toys cluttering every walkway, nook and cranny in my home. I asked you all to provide me with ideas for ways to tackle that clutter. (Thanks to those who responded! π )
So, on a continuing quest to ferret out the best ideas for decluttering and regaining my sanity, I also began reading some of my favorite blogs to see what ideas I could discover. And…I came across two I wanted to share with you:
31 Days to a Less Messy Nest
This exciting challenge begins tomorrow, October 1! It’s part of a a larger series called 31 Days of Change. It features eight bloggers all talking about different ways to make a change during the next 31 days. How cool is that? The whole thing is hosted on The Nester.
31 Days to a Less Messy Nest featuresΒ 31 days to real, simple, quick, beautiful ways to organize and make your home run more smoothly that will change your life, according to the site. I can’t wait! Will you be joining in?
Making Your Home a Haven
The other fun challenge I ran across was on the Women Living Well site. Courtney says:
“Is your calendar full like mine? Do you feel a little tense, rushed and even panicked at times…? [Is] the rest of the family feeling the same way? …we women can create a physical environment, as well as a spiritual environment, that can bring peace, harmony and a sense of calmness to our homes if we are willing to be intentional.”
Sounds good to me! Each week in October she’ll give us one practical tip and one spiritual tip that we can use to create a haven in our homes. Awesome!
Discovering Our Common Grounds
So, are you in? Will you accept the challenge? Which one? Drop me a note and let me know if you’re participating. Then, stop back from time to time to let me know how it’s going. I can’t wait to discover our “challenging” common grounds. π
I’m all in for the 31 days to get organized! I could use some ideas to whip this place into shape. π
Okay. I NEED to join in. And am planning to as of NOW. However, I might need a push here and there as well. π
Alright! Already two of you going to join with me. That’s good as I’m sure I’ll need some prodding, too! Thanks for the comments ladies. Let’s get organized and make our houses havens! π
Laura
Oooh, those sound good! I’m opening them in my browser now! (you’re giving me so many good things to check out tonight!) π
Thanks for the comment, Michelle! And yep, the challenges are great! Glad you’re checking them out. π
